Our Mission

The Foundation’s mission is to support the Sahuarita Unified School District through programs and initiatives that enable faculty and staff to enrich the opportunities for learning and creativity for students.

How We Fullfill Our Mission

Ensuring Long-Term Sustainability
SEEF is committed to strengthening the Foundation’s long-term success and impact by securing the resources needed to serve future generations. This includes building and managing endowment funding, establishing a signature annual fundraising event, developing a strong alumni network, and creating opportunities for legacies and planned giving. Through strategic partnerships and community engagement, the Foundation works to ensure its longevity and continued service to Sahuarita.

Supporting Post-Secondary Education Through Endowments
SEEF establishes and manages endowments designated for post-secondary education, supporting students as they pursue their academic and career aspirations beyond high school. Since its founding, the Foundation has awarded more than $672,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors throughout their post-secondary journeys, helping to reduce the financial barriers associated with higher education for local students.

Providing Educational and Professional Grants for Teachers
SEEF supports educators by offering Mini-Grants that empower teachers to enhance classroom learning. For the past several years, the Foundation has awarded $500 Mini-Grants that teachers have used to fund listening centers, classroom manipulatives, and educational online programs—directly benefiting students through innovative instruction.

Supporting National Board Certification for Teachers
SEEF is proud to offer Mini-Grants to teachers pursuing National Board Certification, an advanced professional process that strengthens teaching practice and student outcomes. Recognizing the financial commitment required, SEEF helps remove barriers by supporting educators who are striving to grow professionally and elevate the quality of education across the district.
